FREE and open to the public

Join the Center for Reconciliation to celebrate the life and work of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., as well as the opening of our spring exhibition Unfinished Business: The Long Civil Rights Movement, curated by Brown University’s Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice. In honor of Dr. King, we will collectively read excerpts from some of his most powerful speeches, and reflect on his legacy together. And, we will explore Unfinished Business, a gripping, inspiring look at the relationship between the Black organizing tradition and the Civil Rights Movement from the moment of emancipation until the presidential campaigns of Jesse Jackson. Light snacks and beverages will be served.

Unfinished Business was curated by the Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice, Brown University, and is presented by the Center for Reconciliation.
