To join the book club, there is a one-time suggested general registration fee of $20. If you are able to pay more, this contribution will help us sustain the program. If you’re not, please contribute what you can–no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
About the Book
Just Mercy, which has recently come out as a film of the same name, comes from lawyer and author Bryan Stevenson, the founder of the Equal Justice Initiative. It details his personal experiences with the American justice system, defending marginalized people including those wrongfully assigned to death row.
This book has won multiple prizes, and can spark a multitude of important conversations around the history of our justice system, equity, race, class, gender, access and activism.
All are welcome to join us. No previous book club experience is needed.
