This training is designed for those who want to facilitate small group discussions using “The Cross and the Lynching Tree” book by James Cone. It will also provide skills for book group leaders or facilitators of other conversations about race relations, racism, slavery, reconciliation, etc.

Meet and build relationships with others engaged in the work of racial reconciliation, find partners and allies, learn skills and techniques to handle difficult conversations. Bring a team from your church or organizations. Come and participate, even if you don’t have a group or aren’t sure you want to be a leader. This is a great time to listen, share and learn.

Bring a brown bag lunch. Location: Church of the Transfiguration, 1665 Broad Street, Cranston. Parking is available; entrance is on Wheeler Avenue.
