The Center for Reconciliation is a non-profit organization, that was founded by the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island to offer and support efforts leading to racial justice, healing, and reconciliation. The Center for Reconciliation offers a variety of unique programs, events and experiences that create spaces for learning about and discussing America’s history of slavery, the slave trade and its legacies. We also collaborate with partner organizations, churches, and community groups across the state. We seek to be catalysts, collaborators and conveners within the church and community. We are renovating the Cathedral of St. John on North Main Street in Providence to be our future home and a safe space where people can engage in dialogue about the challenging issues of race and differences.
